On-tap at Beachwood I,

A: Pours a clear gold with a soft white head, leaves some nice lace.

S: Grassy floral notes of noble hops with some nice sweet bready malt.

T: Soft, lightly sweet pils malt along with a solid floral Saaz character. Somewhat herbal, very elegant.

M: Crisp, clean and light-bodied, fresh feel, easy drinking.

O: A solid example of a Czech pils. Clearly to style. I wish there was a bit more flavour, but I enjoyed this effort.

Bottled shared at bu11zeye’s 10,000th rating tasting. Thanks to bman113vr for sharing.

The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is full of pilsner malt, as well as some grass from the hops. The flavor is very similar, with some nice malt notes, as well as some grass and a hint of bitterness. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

On tap at The Los Abbey/Port tasting room in San Marcos, CA.

Pours a clear gold with a white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. A nice latticework of lace forms around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grains and some nice grassy and fruity aromas. Taste is of grain/malt with some slight fruity flavors and grassy hops. There is a mild bitterness on the palate after each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good pilsner that is very easy to drink.

On-tap at Lost Abbey

A: The beer pours a clear pale golden color with a dense white head.

S: Opens up with a nice sweetness of pale malt and sweet bread. There are light floral and spicy hops with some lager yeast. A hint of grass, maybe some fruity esters as well.

T: The flavor also begins with some sweet malt, mostly in the form of bread and cracker malt. Just some light grass to go with the more prominent, floral and spicy hops. Yeast and fruit esters to go with a light bitterness.

M: Medium bodied with a medium level of carbonation.

O: A very well done lager by Lost Abbey. Top notch stuff.

A Czech Pils made with Spalt & Tettnager hops.

A:  Burnished pale gold with perfect transparency crowned by an impressive two inches of sea foam froth. Excellent retention and lots of lacing.

S: Pronounced and vibrant hops, redolent with grassy notes and floral spiciness. Crackery, doughy malt lies beneath. This is very hoppy and very clean. Smells great.

T: Upper moderate bitterness with a huge hop flavor. Spicy floral notes blend with grassy characteristics. Malt is crackery and with just a little dough. The finish is dry and clean with a firm bitterness.

M: Upper low to lower medium in body with a lower level of high carbonation. The mouthfeel is crisp and dry.

Overall: Very well done. Port Brewing nailed this one.
