16 oz. can from Trader Joe's in Tustin, CA. Pours a beautiful crystal clear pale yellow with a foamy white head. Nice malty aroma with just a touch of yeastiness. This does smell a bit like a Mexican lager, but it tastes more like a craft version of it. Lots of toasted malt and smooth body. Good hop balance with lemony/hay notes. Finishes clean with a lasting toast and light lemon aftertaste. Very good and refreshing beer!

It checks all the boxes for this style: Mexican-style lager? So it's a Continental Lager then. Extremely drinkable. Golden straw color, medium carbonation, light body and medium hop flavor. The crispness is very nice. Thank you Trader Joe's.

refreshing without being too bland, but not much to this one, just a cold drinker, excellent on a hot day, simple in a good way, craft bridge type beer, might bring some folks over from the macro or import side, its nice and clean, holds some head, well lagered and without any cheapness. as with many of these, its about texture as much as flavor, and about what it isnt as much as what it is, and this succeeds in both of those arenas. first, its super bubbly, light enough without feeling thin, the corn character is there but its not a main point of emphasis, and the sweetness from it is very short lived, this is dry without being hurried, smooth in an organic sort of way, and with only enough hops for this to be balanced and add a little bit of appreciable late freshness to the profile, not getting overly crafty with it in that regard and making it unnecessarily bitter or anything, a pitfall that plagues a good portion of these, this is beer for everyone, can be mindless effectively, but doesnt need to be. second, this isnt metallic or hurried, its professional and tidy, not adjuncty in an effort to make it cheap, and the branding is fun without being gimmicky, so really this checks all the boxes just by being well made and smartly packaged. sure it tastes like a whole range of others, but its well done, no need for lime flavoring, and this warms up better than many of these too, stays consistent and tight. well executed everyday beer, bubbly and bright, suitable for just about any beer palate, thirst quenching and simple in a good way.

Clear bright yellow amber brew with plenty of foam in the New Belgium snifter. Aromatic with bread and alfalfa and hay. Substantial body with plenty of spritz in the mouth. Flavors of crackers and some slightly sweet malt. It hits the right spot with malt but not too much, and just enough herbal taste. It's even kind of fruity with a tangy finish. Pizza Port does it again, proving it doesn't have to have a tub of hops to make a tasty beer. From the 16 oz can purchased at Trader Joes. Dated 01/30/26.

Pint from draft at Solana Beach. Tasty, clean version of the style. On the lighter, more approachable side of the style as it doesn’t have that distinct, some would describe as “skunky” flavor from the malt. Has some of it as it warms to remind you what it is but really just a good lager.
