Next up in the #hashtag series is #quadfather aged on Michigan tart cherries. Since introducing The Quadfather a few months back, this delectable Belgian Quadruple has quickly become a pub favorite. One particular cask treatment with cherries garnered rave reviews from our pub faithful so we've decided to bring it to you in bottle form. This particular cherry addition was designed to be a thoughtful and most importantly, complimentary addition to a beer already rich in dark fruit and caramel notes.

Pours an Amber color with a prune/ plum haze. Aroma is on the boozy side with dark fruits. Flavor is big a rich, dark fruit flavor of cherries. Has some of that classic Belgian yeast notes and overall a really nice taste. It's a little thinner on the mouthfeel and overall I enjoyed this a lot.

Thanks to thebouch01 for this bottle; Voodoo is always welcome in my house. 12 oz. bottle with stark black & white label straight out of 1985.
The pour is dark red, with sediment, looks thick, like one could paint with it. The nose knows no quad: it’s minty & herbal & sweet. Smells like Robitussin without the stink & alcohol, which seems odd.
#quadfather is almost more cherry than a bowl full of cherries. The first taste is cherries, the second is more cherries, & there’s a cherry finish, too. Malt? Sweetness? Yes. The herbal nose does carry over into the taste & is the only other strong component. Syrupy; six ounces was enough.
Not up to the usual high standards that I hold this fine brewery to, this one is just too much, too sweet, too simple. Almost average.
