Pours cloudy light brown with a thin head that immediately disappears. Could really use better head retention. Also - odd color for the style - not that that's necessarily bad...
The smell is of caramel candy, wheat tang and liquour-like orange. Again - a bit odd for style, but a decent aroma.
The taste is of caramel candy sweetness and a wheat tang. Underlying vague fruitiness. I say vague, but orange does weave in and out. A growing ginger taste fully emerges in the finish.
Well, it's certainly different than I expected. Never had a saison like this before. That's fine...no problem there. Uniqueness has its place and it's nice to see variations. However, personally, I don't know that the ginger goes along so well here. Kudos for making something different...."Interesting..."
