I'm not sure what malts are used here, but I might venture a guess at Marris Otter for the nutty, chocolaty flavor that's mildly suggestive of a brown ale lineage. The ESB is dark bronze with a placid body and somehow delivers more than what you might anticipate including a lingering malt sweetness. Not traditional by a long shot, but worthy of some appreciation.
