Funk-n-Delicious Peach is a mighty fine looker. Good clarity runs throughout the body that transitions from copper to brass as the width of the glass narrows. The bubbles are minimal but an initial soapy one finger head comes about rather easily on the pour. That foam fades to a skinny ring after just a few minutes in the glass. Understandable for the style, I suppose. Good looking body though.
The nose is slam packed with peach. A little artificial but enticing overall. Peach ring candy off the bat with a touch of alcohol which brings to mind a peach brandy, doesn't sound great but it smells pretty good. A little musty wheat in the background. These things meld and mesh after some breathing. Overall, it's well balanced and appetizing but somewhat one dimensional.
Tart peach grips the inside of the cheeks upfront. There's a nice play between sweet & sour as the peach rings pop up in the middle. A slightly fruity, assertive vinegar picks up on the swallow and brightens the overall beer. Again, the flavor is rather one dimensional but that peach segues from tart to sweet to vinegar so while the main component is peach, it has a lot of ebb & flow.
The body shows a little more weight than I would like. The mild carbonation seems to make this stand out a bit more. There's a nice acidic bite that lingers after each drink. It's drinkable and enjoyable but a few more bubbles and a touch lighter body would help improve the overall situation.
This is a decent enough beer from Oceanside. It's very fruit forward and shows a lot of different aspects of that fruit, the peach. It's bright and acidic. There's no funkiness to speak of though., which is one of the things you associate with a lambic style beer. At $6.99, this is a solid beer. Much more than that and I would certainly pass.

For me (a funk-phobe), Oceanside nailed this... almost, sort of.
Looks average for a light-colored fruit ale.
Smells say peach and then some funk... not much ale malt, but that is ok on a hot day.
Taste attacks peachy... but soon, the sour steals the show. Very tart, very dry. Finishes too tart and dry for food.
My only criticism is that I could not drink it with a garlicky soup. I had to go get a table Belgian.
Have this only on a hot summer day... with a bunch of thirsty people who need a good pucker.
Specific to Oceanside and increasingly to small wild/sour brewers, I am getting very wary of their value ratios.

This beer drinks more like a cider but it is absolutely delicious. Perfectly sour, sweet, and tart.

750 into a snifter
L - Pours slightly hazy golden with almost no head
S - bright crisp with a touch of stone fruit and a very slight hint of funk
T - bright acidity, mostly lacto but soft. Some fruit coming through, but a bit subdued. Not much funk to speak of
F - crisp, smooth, with soft carb (almost too little).
Overall a solid effort, but really nothing to make it stand out. Not much funk, and could have done with more fruit in the beer to make it more than a subtle undertone - when I read Peche on the label, I expect peaches; not just a touch, I was hoping for more.
Frankly my biggest issue is the labeling and the price. Don't tell me it is a lambic style barrel aged Peche, and then serve me up a mild Berliner weiss with a touch of fruit and almost no funk at all...

Sampled from bottle on 1/9/16. Psychedelic lettering with peach colored wax. Pours cloudy peach color. The smell and taste of this beer is like biting into a fresh peach. I had never heard of the beer so there were no expectations, and I was blown away! There is a subdued and subtle tartness to this, but it is not very strong. I would put this up there with some of the fruited beers that New Glarus puts out.
