Employee pour at Oskar Blues. Poured into a standard pint glass.
L - Clear gold. Two-finger pale white head that doesn't go away. Great lacing.
S - Straight blueberry. I can't detect anything other than blueberry.
T - Wheat. Mineral. Can't really pick up blueberry.
F - Medium-light in body, with plenty of carbonation. Slammable.
O - I really wish this was more of a classic hefeweizen, with lots of yeast and a strong wheat backing. I also really wish the blueberry came through more flavor-wise. I won't get this again, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Taster at CopenRoss. Clear golden pour, light head. Blueberries in the aroma and taste, sweet, not overpowering. Not much weizen body or notes, kind of thin.

Wasatch Blueberry Hefeweizen has a thick, spongy, off-white head, with an initially-clear, bubbly gold appearance, which clouds up, following the "swish & pour". The aroma is of white wheat bread and blueberry. The flavor is of blueberries, some sweet & tart noes, and white wheat. Wasatch Blueberry Hefeweizen has a medium body and a dry finish.

Wasatch Blueberry Hefeweizen pours a bronze color, with a long lasting, but very small head. Aroma has some noticeable blueberry notes, but also very chemically. Flavor is light, noticeable blue berry notes, clean and crisp finish. Good body and feel. Overall, its light, mellow berry flavor, not over done, not bad.

Scrappy notes from 2005.
Pours slightly cloudy dark gold with a 1 inch white head. Lots of blueberry scent right out of the bottle. There is a bit of malt smell as well. The taste of blueberry is strong and kind of feels syrupy and coats the tongue. There are wheat tastes here and there and it is slightly crisp. Not as good overall as the breweries Apricot Hefe but is refreshing.

12 fl oz pull-tab can:
Sixer ran me $8.99 USD plus tax at a grocer in New Orleans, LA. "Hefeweizen." "Beer fermented with natural blueberry flavoring." 9 IBUs. 4.8% ABV.
APPEARANCE: Looks more filtered than I'd have thought, and it's not the vibrant blue I hoped for...instead, it's more of a murky copper. Hardly the hazy orange of traditional expressions of the style. Head is ~5cm in height with ~8 minute head retention.
AROMA: Artificial blueberry flavour/puree and some heavy syrupy sweetness. Not finding any wheat, clove, yeasty spiciness, orange peel, banana, or really any other flavour you'd look for in a good hefeweizen...though I guess I get bubblegum?
Suggests a potentially saccharine fake blueberry ale. Nothing about this aroma promises a hefeweizen, let alone a quality one.
TASTE & TEXTURE: Thin yet coating, with off-putting thickness for the intended style. Artificial blueberry extract/puree dominates the otherwise insipid flavour profile. This beer makes no attempt to showcase the intricacies of yeast or to spotlight fresh wheat...I'm not sure why they didn't just brand it a blueberry ale and let it loose on the market.
Pretty bland save for the fake blueberry flavour, which isn't awful but one does have to wonder why they didn't just stick with actual blueberries or bilberries instead of whatever syrup or flavoring they used here...the result could only be better.
OVERALL: A simple shallow shrug of a beer that doesn't pull off either the blueberry component or the hefeweizen component well. Poorly executed across the board, but it's not undrinkable...I'll be able to finish my sixer without issue. Still, the premise for the beer isn't a bad one (it's why I bought this) and it's disappointing to see such an original interesting premise for a beer get wasted.

Poured from a can into a ping glass
Appearance – The beer pours an orange amber color with a tiny fizzy white head. The head fades very fast leaving a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is huge of a blueberry smell mixed with some lighter aromas of a wheaty smell. Overall very blueberry in nature and quite authentic to boot.
Taste – The taste begins with a nice light wheat bread backbone taste backed by some lighter blueberry tastes. Other flavors of a light fruitiness of apricot and peach are present upfront, providing a nice backdrop to the wheat and blueberry. As the tastes advances more blueberry comes to the tongue along with a little bit of a yeasty taste. At the very end a touch of hay joined the taste and leaves one with a nice, not too sweet, blueberry wheat taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is light and crisp with a carbonation level that is rather high. For the mix of flavors the feel is great and makes for a refreshing and easy drinking brew.
Overall – A fantastic light, but flavorful, and still very easy drinking blueberry brew. Great for the summer and warm weather.

Poured from a 12 ounce can into a Shaker pint glass, "enjoy by" date "08/19/19".
APPEARANCE: pours a cloudy, straw color with less than one-finger off-white head that quickly dissipated until a thin, broken layer of small bubbles remained, medium carbonation, light lacing on the glass.
SMELL: sweetbread and blueberries.
TASTE: the taste follows the nose, initially sweetbread and blueberries, there really is no hop profile on this beer.
PALATE: light body and medium carbonation.
OVERALL; this beer is not to my liking as the blueberry taste was kind of artificial like syrup and it's just too one dimensional for me, I finished the beer but would not seek this out again.

Pours out a semi-hazy honey color. Head is fizzy with little retention. No lacing.
Lots of blueberry with a lemon zest and a metallic twang. Reminds me of blueberry syrup.
Taste artificial. Caramel and blueberries with a sort of corn sweetness.
Medium bodied syrupy feel. Carbonation is low.
