Tap: Poured a clear light brown color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention. Aroma of bitter dry hops with light dry caramel malt notes. Taste is also dominated by bitter dry hops with some dry caramel malt notes. English-style hoppy floral notes are also discernable. Body is fuller then average for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable and more aggressively hopped then the style would usually suggest which is not a bad thing.

On tap at Le Trou Du Diable booth at Mondial, 2010. Listed by the brewery at the booth as an American pale ale. Mildly cloudy body. Golden in color with a thin, white head. Sticky, soapy lacing. Aroma is hoppy, specifically lemony hoppyness. Nice smell, very inviting. Taste is lemony and orangy. WOW. Fruity American goodness with a twist...of lemon. Nice.

Appearance: Light amber going towards orange, the thick honeycomb head gave way rather quickly and died off almost as if it were cask-conditioned.

Smell: Hop nose was flowery and honey sweet, but then I got coffee grinds...again? Thrid Beer in a row from this place that gave me coffee in the nose (although one was a stout, which is expected, but a bitter and now an ESB?) I had my girlfriend doublecheck for me in case it was just me who was java crazy, and she confirmed, adding it tasted a bit smokey as well, sort of a cured meat character witch I picked after the glass warmed up a bit.

Taste: Lively carbonation, finally a little malt shines through, with a decent amount of hops that stick to back of the pallet and was spicy and herbal. The brewer told me it was mostly Mnt. Hood hops bit with a little of this and that. Not bad overall, it would really pop on cask.
