From the bottle, it pours a clear amber color with a modest white head that soon reduces to a thin layer with still evident carbonation. Modest scent of lemon accompanying the malty scent. Taste is malty, as expected. It finishes pretty well overall and is very drinkable.

Pours a clear amber color with a huge, stable head atop.

Smells of spicy hay, coppery, caramel infused toffee and lighter wheat.

This drinks light and refreshing with a well nuanced, lively carbonation.

Tastes of dough, glazed caramel and dry, slightly lemony turning hops. Has a toasty, grainy, malt accompanied middle part with a sparkly effervescent mineralic note to it. Finishes with whole grain bread, spicy toffee and leafy hops, creating a well working, crisp finish.

This is pretty close to what you can expect from a traditional Anna-Festbier with a slight, unique twist, regarding the beer’s initial hop appearance.

The label shows a nice little picture of a crowd of people gathered together under a moonlit sky, surrounded by trees and balloons, celebrating Forchheim's annual 'Annafest'.

This beer is amber to rusty-brown in color and very clear; it has a small white head (which shrinks to a thin layer very fast), moderate carbonation and leaves little lace.

As can be expected, this is a very malty beer. The aroma is a bit dry or straw-like and sweet in a toffyish sense. It is a nice and thick, doughy aroma altogether. Fruity whiffs (like fresh, sour apples) and touches of hops are present as well.

The beer is a bit hoppier when it is tasted, especially in the finish, which marks a fairly dry and somewhat toasted moment also. But what gives this beer such a nice taste, is its sweet fullness, which really is quite sweet, but without having a cloying or artificial impression. The flavour as a whole is rather simple, but it develops itself very slowly, thereby giving all components proper attention.

Carbonation is soft, while the body is medium and quite strong.

A very enjoyable and friendly beer, but with a rawer edge to it as well.
