Purchased and sampled in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, this green 1/2 liter bottle comes with a green and black label featuring an eagle soaring in front of the Tian-Shan mountain range of southern Kazakhstan. The city where this is brewed is known as the "father of apples" because of the many apple orchards there. Ingredients include sugar and caramel. Best before 4/16/06, I opened it on 4/8/06.

Pours a clear yellow under a thin one finger white head that fades quick as a flash to just collar. There is some lace on one side, but it doesn't last. The nose is light, with definite hints of sweet apple juice. The mouth is light and very prickly. This beer tastes like a weak apple cider - not much of beer here. Sweet apple juice, no malt, no hops. It's OK for what it is, but it is not beer.
