Vol 2
Appearance: A nifty bubble show builds a two finger head atop the slightly hazy copper colored liquid; a few sheets and lots of dots hang around as the liquid is consumed
Smell: Caramel, stone fruit, Bourbon, oak, coconut and earthy hop tones
Taste: Caramel tones forward and underpinning; stone fruit, oak, coconut and earthy hop elements build, through the middle; the bitterness builds, after the swallow, when the Bourbon joins into the finish
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate carbonation; considerable warmth in the gullet
Overall: The wood and caramel flavors are very pronounced in this beer, with the Bourbon being rather subtle; a rather nice beer obtained from the cellar at Starr Hill over the past weekend; a bit of a production to get it but worth the effort

Hazy copper body with a filmy tan head. Sweet fruity malts, oak, vanilla, earth. Medium sweetness with notes of wet wood. Tannic, fruity. Bourbon character is present but not assertive. Nicely done.

Beautiful deep amber color. Bourbon comes through strong on the nose. A bit more subtle in the flavor but still there. Very smooth. Would recommend.
