Poured moderately hard from a bottle into a snifter glass, eventually giving half a finger of light brown head. Deep brown color with no lacing after the head faded. Smells like a strange combination of malt and raspberry. Taste is a bit of malt followed by tart raspberry. Light/medium bodied with minimal carbonation. Not a bad stout, but a bit too tart of a raspberry flavor for my liking.

From the bottle, it pours a dark brown with a light brown head that quickly diminishes to a ring. In the nose, it is chocolate and raspberry. In the mouth, it is the same. If you like chocolate and raspberry, this brew is for you!

Poured a dense, dark tan 1" foam head that slowly compressed down over 1-2 minutes. Coloration is a very dark brown, verging on black, that lets absolutely no light directly through, but a touch of reddish-rasberry coloration seems to evident on the margins.
The scent is absolutely perfect: chocolate with notes of rasberry and chocolate covered rasberry. Taste follows and it is phenomenal: chocolate up front giving way to chocolate covered rasberry (with no seeds!) and finishing with a bit more of even balance between chocolate and rasberry. Feel is medium to full bodied, with a bit of the 7.8% ABV peeking through as the glass warms.
Simply one of my favorite brews and one I cannot recommend highly enough (in case the review was not effusive enough...). If you can grab this to try, you should!
(I should note that a similar statement could be made for almost any of the Box of Chocolate beers that this is a part of -- so if you find that box of chocolates and think one of the 4 flavors might tickle your fancy do not hesitate to grab a box before I do!)
