A bottle poured into a pint glass. Pour has a 1/2" brown foam head with a dark brown body. The pour also had a small amount of surge-like quality, although that settled down quickly. On the nose is a strong cherry -- almost too strong -- mixing with the chocolate base that helps to round it out a bit. Taste is more balanced, with cherry + chocolate playing very well early on before a stronger cherry flavor comes through on the backside. Feel is smooth, somewhat heavy, and a slightly bitter sweet chocolate cherry aftertaste. Overall it is fine enough, but I prefer other box of chocolate beers.
