Hazy golden color. Aroma is malt heavy, grass, floral pop. The spruce comes through heavy in the taste, complemented by some bitter earthy hops and a solid malt undertone. Mouthfeel is solid. Overall the aroma sucks but everything else is pretty good

From the can, it pours a hazy light amber color with a very nice white head that slowly reduces and leaves lacing. The nose gets piney scents. The mouth follows with a light bitterness, mild lightly bitter aftertaste and some light malts.

Can from a winter variety pack, dated 11/10:
First off, I'd say it seems that you are going to need to like spruce to enjoy this one. At a month old, the piney spruce aromas still jump from the glass, paired nicely with some grapefruit and lemon citrus, though these latter notes are secondary at best. If they carried a little more weight in the taste, it'd be up there with the nose. A malt profile that tries to stay out of the way, but provides enough sweetness to prevent the bitterness of the spruce from overwhelming the beer for me (though I could see others disagreeing).
I'd be a bit surprised if this beer didn't average out with a decently high deviation if enough people rate it. Also curious how spruce-forward it will be after another month on the shelf.
