I am a simple guy. If you like browns this is a neat change to the regular brown beer. Enough smoke is picked up to make this distinctive. I could have 2 of these but that is about it. The smoke becomes less noticeable after the first draft. I have never taken it home in the growler.

ACBF NERAX cask
A-Pours a dark brown with nearly no head.
S-Definitely picking up some smoke. It's not very excessive but it's there. The rest is mostly just sweet brown maltiness.
T-Mildly smoky throughout. Some brown sugar and chocolate with caramel as well. A little dark fruitiness.
M-Flat, casky feel that I enjoy. Lighter bodied.
O-Always down to try some cask beer. The smokiness wasn't too intense thankfully.

Screw-top growler filled at the brewpub.
First stein pours with a 1/2" beige head, over the quite cloudy orangey brown brew. Head is transient, with sticky lasting lace. Aroma is rich and worty.
Taste follows the nose upfront with the hearty grains, smokey in the middle, and balanced through the close. Mouthfeel is smooth, like most all Gardner brews, and drinkability is great. I really need to get up there more often.
