A random single in the LCBO summer mixer pack that's been sitting in the fridge for some time...
A - Pours a pale golden colour, thumb of head with little retention and no lacing.
S - Reminiscent of an adjunct with sweet corn, musty bready malts, sour citrus and sour apples.
T - Flavour is more of the same with the sweet corn dominating, sour apple juice, bready malts, wet cardboard and a chalky bready flavour lingers.
M - Medium bodied, smooth and a touch of dryness.
O - I didn't have high expectations and this was still rather disappointing. Nothing special and certainly not memorable.

Appearance: It has a nice clear straw yellow color to it. It has a nice white head that dies down fast and leaves next to no lacing.
Smell: The aromas definitly give out hints of grainy malts, corn and mild grassy hops.
Taste: Like the aromas, it has an adjunct like taste of corn, grain with some light grassy hops.
Mouthfeel: It has a medium carbonation with a light and watery overall balance and feel.
Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with bland flavors and aromas.

341 mL bottle, chilled and poured into a pint glass
Appearance- Pours a golden colour when held up to a light but has a weird looking very light amber colour to it. Average pour yields about a half of a finger of bubbly white head that quickly resides to a thin ring around the glass leaving a few spots of lacing throughout till finish.
Smell- Not a good way to start things off, the smells just scream adjunct lager with a weird mix of Campbell’s chicken noodle soup in there.
Taste- Just like the smells, very disappointing to say the least. It tastes like a Budweiser had sex with a bowl of chicken noodle soup, and made mutated weird babies called Wolfgang’s. Other than that there is nothing else going on in this beer.
Mouthfeel- Light bodied with actually decent carbonation.
Overall- This just reminded me why I should always check the BA score before I go out and buy a new beer to try, Had I read the raving reviews of this beer, I would have drain poured it even if it had been given to me, and trust me I contemplated doing it throughout drinking it, I just can’t bring myself to waste any beer no matter what it tastes like. Absolute garbage and avoid at all costs.

This OCB pack came out very quick after the last pack. They've certainly done some good work, lets start out mix pack #7
Appearance: Fairly decent, started with two fingers of head that produces next to no lacing but retained admirably. The body is a nice deep gold color with good carbonation, however I am seeing a couple particles floating in the beer.
Smell: Some mild hops and sweet malt can be found under a slight skunky sulphuric note. It's very odd, like something went slightly bad.
Taste: There a bit of an odd sulphuric tone to this one, it starts with some shortbread taste that quickly turns to a touch of hoppy spice and an almost cabbage like taste to end it. There are a couple noticeable notes of alcohol as well.
Mouthfeel: Well the carbonation is surprisingly good and it's smooth, even though it leaves something to be desired taste wise. The aftertaste doesn't last very long, and is that doughy biscuit taste.
Drinkability: It's a bit heavier then you would really expect it to be, and that's a bit of a downer. It's refreshing but I don't think I'd want this on a hot day or as an all night drinker.
Final Thoughts: You could do worse, but unless this is a buck a beer, you certainly could do a lot better. It just comes across as off, it just doesn't mesh right. Tolerable in this mix pack, but I'd be upset if I got six of these. Definite pass.

12oz Bottle
Appearance - The beer pours a clear yellow colour with a small fizzy white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation and there is some very faint any lacing. The head only lasted for a few minutes before it was gone.
Smell - breads/grains, corn syrup, grass
Taste & Mouth - The beer has a crazy amount of carbonation, almost like a seltzer.. most of the taste is made up of breads/grains and a grassiness. I can also taste the alcohol quite a bit.
Drink - Probably one of the worst beers I've ever had. It basically tastes like someone's first attempt at making a home brew. Avoid.

341 ml served in a chilled glass
Apperance - beer pours a clear light ale colour with some ok carbonation present. The head is about 3 fingers in height and a solid white fluffy base. The head lingers for a little bit of time. There is some minimal lacing.
Smell - I can smell some hops and a little bit of the alcohol content, it is not well hidden. The beer does not offer much to the nose.
Taste - This actually is an ok tasting beer, the alcohol is not as present as it was in the smell. There are hints of sweetness as well, no bitterness or added punch at the end.
Mouthfeel - The mouthfeel does not add much carbonation to this beer, it remains the same. Maybe a hint of citrus, but overall pretty basic.
Drinkability - This is not a complex nor a dynamic beer, its simple with a simple taste. If i had too, i would not buy this again.

pours golden with a tiny head that is gone right away.
lots of carbonation.
the smell is overwhelming, and not in a good way.
it smells sour and horsey and not in an interesting way.
thin and watery tasting in spite of all the bubbles still coming up from the bottom.
but the tastes just knocks you back. cardboardy, slimy, skunky.
pouring it out. dont buy this.

I just noticed this in the Beer Store, and was enticed by "German hops" and "small batches", so I picked up a 12 pack.
I don't want to dissect this review into individual components, simply because this beer isn't worth the time. It's simply BAD. The carbonation is gone in a minute, it has a lingering adjunct taste, and appearance wise it has odd clouds of haziness, like unfermented corn sugar. This is seriously on par with "Mr. Beer" or an equally bad, kit-designed homebrew.
Not even worth trying IMO, let alone purchasing a 6 pack.

Pours into the glass a golden colour with minimal head. Their is plenty of carbonation that it's almost violent. Not only can you see the bubbles, but you can hear it from across the room. Smells a bit buttery at first, with some raw grain and overcooked vegetables. Taste is a bit dry and sweet. Definite biscuity flavour, with some soggy veggies and a fruitlike taste. It seems artificial to me, for some unknown reason. Mouthfeel is far too carbonated. It's frizzy and light. Not a terrible beer, but I've had better for cheaper.

Initial foamy head and then just a bit of head after. Translucent golden. Lace. Aggressive carbonation, light body. Lagerish metallic, little taste though on the sweet side perhaps corn. Avoidable. LCBO Summerhill Festival.Where is the pils, this is a Euro-lager?

This isn't really a double pilsner, less than 6.5% ABV.
Better than the average North American Lager, but nothing stellar.
Deep gold, with a small white head. Smells like quality malt & hops. Bitterness/sweetness is very well balanced, with a strong malt backbone, slightly biscuit-like taste, with a very smooth, slighty grassy & spicy hop flavour. A little bit of alcohol in the aftertaste.
If there's a sugar adjunct, they could go without it, and have a good tasting beer, with a slightly lower ABV.
Moderate mouthfeel, which is nice to see in an american lager.
Certainly more drinkable than the average Molson or Labatt's megabrew... and not a bad price either!

Golden yellow with a good size sharp white head that settles to a thick film and leaves some sketchy lace.
Not a big nose, but hops and malt noticeable, slightly sweet in character.
Overall comes across as quite light, slightly spritzy. Hops and grain to taste, but nothing really dominates or stands out.
Just another anonymous player.
