Hey der guy- Charlie Berens here from the Manitowoc Minute. I made a beer with my fellow cheeseheads at Ale Asylum over there in Madison. It's a light pilsner that's only available in Wisconsin and perfect when you want a couple two tree beers. You'll wanna stock up cuz holy cripes winter is comin' and you don't wanna be sober for that.

Pale yellow body with two fingers of white foam. Macro corn malts meet grains and lemon zest in the nose. Taste has white bread added to the grains, lemon zest, sweet malt without the corn. Feel is light, crushable, moderately crisp, but in general just nondescript, nothing to it beyond initial sips, watery as it warms. Went well with spicy patatas bravas though!

I picked this up in Hudson, WI. I picked up two six packs. As I want some later and Wisconsin is a bit of a drive. The scent had subtle hint of grain. The taste was balanced and easy to drink with grain and slightly bitter. Overall it is a good beer.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from a beer store in LaCrosse, WI. It poured a slightly hazy golden with very thin white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had subtle hints of grain and lemon. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with grain and slight bitter hop presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

L: Very light yellow with a slight haze to it, cloudy white head.
S: Sweet barley, wheat.
T: For being a light lager there obviously isn't too much complexity but you can taste a decent amount of hops, wheat, barley and sweetness.
F: This beers strong suit by far. Amazingly refreshing and nicely carbonated.
O: Being a light lager at 4.2% my expectations weren't insanely high but you can taste there are quality ingredients in here and this beer is very refreshing. A go to for your typical camping activities up north. My only gripes with the beer is it should 100% not be 7.99 for a six pack. I know its a dollar cheaper than other ale asylum 6 packs but I would definitely spend the extra dollar to get their hefeweizen instead.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours golden yellow with a fluffy white head. Smells of sweet grain not much else. Tastes of sweet barley, not too unexpected for style but more flavorful than most. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking with heavy carbonation. Overall, a very good beer for style.

On tap at Der Rathskeller. Poured a clear, golden orange color with a good-sized, foamy head. It smelled of caramel, toffee and floral notes. Sweet caramel with bready notes and subtle bitterness.

12oz can, willi becher glass. Slightly hazy golden yellow body, otherwise clear and light in colour, one finger white head, not much retention or lacing. Nutty, grain, a bit of mineral, sort of earthy. The nuttiness is interesting, sort of like a golden nutty brown ale or something like that. Not the worst AAL I've had, fairly decent backbone of flavour. Mouthfeel is lighter medium bodied, nutty and slightly dry finish. Not particularly refreshing, but solid flavour nonetheless. Think of it as a nutty brown ale, but clear and yellow colored with a lager twist.
