On tap at The Lost Abbey taproom, thankfully before Mongo because damn, I'd forgotten how good that beer is.
Shows up lean & lightly tanned. Smells is similarly light, cracker, yeast.
Port Pilz is a solid U.S. effort at the style. Whip-crack sharp cracker, wheat germ, grain fields with a fresh coating of rain on them. Finishes clean & crisp, as it should. I don’t get the urge to drink a lot of pilsner often, but if I did, it would be a beer like this.
Learned to like a good pils or kolsch in Germany last summer & realized that most American brewers don’t seem to have a clue how to make a good one. Simple, refreshing, to the point. Good.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
