750ml corked and caged bottle into a DDG teku.
Pours thick but flat. Oily legs that somehow fail to leave an impression. Nose is lightly tart. The oxidation is noticeable. Nose is cardboard, some molasses, and moderately vinous. Some dark fruit. Prunes and grape. Beer opens peat and wet wood. Tannins, prunes, and sweet soy sauce in the middle. Subtle hints of chocolate and liquorice. Cardboard towards the end. Body is full with no carbonation. Slick and oily on the palate and goes down warm and sticky. Long, lingering aftertaste.
This one's headed downhill. All the barrel character is gone and the oxidation is noticeable. Drink 'em if you got 'em!

Dry and possibly past prime, intentionally left by Alex so as to dissipate the whiskey element. However, it is the most whiskey characteristic of almost any beer.

750 ml. bottle.
No date.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a 3/4 inch tan head over a near black body with some lacing. Nose of dark malt, dark chocolate, dark fruit, and bourbon, bourbon, bourbon. Yeah, might be too much whiskey for most people but I like it. Taste is mostly bourbon, with the dark fruit, and very slight vanilla and caramel. Slick finish, but the feel is lacking. Overall, if you’re looking for a booze-bomb, you’ve come to the right place.
Cheers!!!

This is the 2017 (I believe) and the ONLY "Oldest Viscosity" Aged in 23 year old Bourbon barrels. Decent stout but perhaps a bit too much barrel. The complexity does not add to the charm in this one.

750 mL bottle. Black. Smells super oaky with bourbon and chocolate. Tastes a little sweet. Dry and oaky. Bourbon. Bitter woody flavor. Slow and sluggish. Kinda tough to drink.

I'm rating the 4.3.2015 version.
Typical stout look -- beige head, near black liquid, and better than typical lacing.
Beautiful, soft darker chocolate. Absolutely no harsh bitter overtones. Think dark chocolate bundt cake.
Soft and subtle yet full of amazingly rich flavor. Chocolate dominates but there's alcohol, cherry and mocha in the taste as well. The finish starts to find some coffee roots. Smooth body. This is like a string quartet to the usual Strong Ales being a full in-your-face orchestra. Delicate and big.
