Originally reviewed on January 11, 2006. On tap at the brewpub. Burnt sienna pour, with orange fringes and a thin ivory cream head. Light salty aroma with a hint of grilled hot dog. Flavor is a dense creamy oat, with almost no smoked flavor beyond a light and gentle roasted meat flavor that shows through. As a Scottish, a fantastic rendition, with high drinkability and some toothy and chewy grain character. A hint of bourbon alcohol that warms and rounds. Not much bites, instead palate is a smooth watery dissapation into a hint of oak a big dose of smacking hazlenut,
