10 oz tap pour into a thin, hybrid of a weiss glass.
A - Clear and bubbly light amber with spots of lacing as the off-white head descends into a foam ring.
S - Slight banana esters flowing from the beer. Medium floral hop aromas, and with the banana, a slight fruitiness from hops. Mild malts that convey a light caramel hint, hide in the background. Interesting for a Pale Ale. Not hoppy enough but the brewmaster said he focused more on the flavor hops than the back-end aroma ones.
T - Sweet malts kick this brew off into a banana and fruit cornucopia complexity that finishes with floral hops and a light dry bitterness. Needs more hops. Not nearly bitter enough for an APA.
M - Creamy and smooth with a dry, light finish. Not as bitter as it should be.
D - Good drinkability, interesting flavor blend within the APA style, but hardly feels like a true Pale Ale. A tad mild. "Uncommon" suits the beer well.
