This beer has a rather thick dark beige foam, leaving residues on the glass. It is dark red-brown (not at all golden as the label says).
There is not much smell, some malty tones, a bit of raisins and orange.
The taste is first rather acid (pure, almost chemical), then there is some burnt malt and dark bread. A (also pure) bitterness is noted. On the positive side very little sweetness which with the sour and bitter tones makes it a good beer for traditional Swedish Christmas food.
The carbonation is good.

A: This beer pours dark brown with hints of red. The head is large, creamy beige and lasts for a really long time.
S: Not very strong smelling. There is smoke and sweet malt. It smells like swedish crispbread.
T: Sweet light roasted malt with some chocolate. Some bitter hops is present and the crisp-bread from the smell is as obvious in taste as well. A fruity flavour comes in the end - apricot.
M: The aftertaste is rather short and somewhat sweet and bitter. The body is medium and the carbonation is rich.
D: As a christmas-beer it works together with the sturdy swedish x-mas-food, but as an euro dark lager it lacks strenght in both smell and taste.
