Our Nitro Stout is brimming with rich malt flavor and a soft, airy mouthfeel. This beer cascades upwards and spins into creamy, dark swirls. A blend of local pale malt, local wheat malt, black malt, crystal malt, munich malt and chocolate malt provides the foundation for this dark and creamy beer.

On tap at Rattle n Hum, NYC. At first glance this has the look. Dark, mild head & some lacing. Under the nose it's reletively mildMostly coffee. But then comes the flavor. Pretty big. Semi-sweet chocolate is way up front but recedes in the flavor. The one weak point is the lack os matching texture. With flavors this big I was expecting a bigger lactose feel. Not to worry, there's still plenty here to enjoy...& I did

Opaque, fine, persisting mousse.
Medium body, full flavored, dilute mouthfeel, low heat and carbonation, avg length.
Dry as the name implies, low acidity.
Roasty flavors, coffee.
Good, not my favorite style of stout.

A: very dark brown; nice creamy, long lasting, cappuccino colored head; very little lacing;
S: bittersweet chocolate with coffee and deeply roasted grains behind it;
T: somewhat bland - doesn't match the nose; deeply roasted grains; mild bitterness on the finish;
MP medium bodied; creamy carbonation;
O: very similar to Guinness; take that as a compliment or an insult;

On nitro-tap 3/19/2015 at Doherty’s East Ave Irish Pub, in Pawtucket, RI served in a tapered pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep dark brown color, with a medium very dense beige head that fades very slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma is faint but contains roasted malts, coffee and chocolate.
T: The taste starts out smoky and with flavors of dark chocolate and coffee. Then some lactose creaminess comes in along with a hearty roasted malt character. The hops presence is very mild as you would expect in this kind of beer and provides a decent balance. The after-taste is bready and bitter-sweet.
M: Smooth and a little crisp but a bit watery, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is very dry and slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, it’s a decent beer but there are others in the style that I would pick first.

Love me a good stout! Yes, it reminds me of Guinness, but not as airy.

Man, I'd nitro everything. Mahogany color. Milk choco meets coffee and some pine. Tastes fine. On tap.
