Lots of fruity flavor although it is on the sweet side for a cranberry beer. Plus it has a ton of sour cherry flavor - not sure where that's coming from. Regardless, it's a pretty beer as well as very tasty.

Greetings & welcome to New CANned Modern Twin Peak Evil Times Beer Sunday (Week 744)! Wow. What a mash-up! It will all be in furtherance of The CANQuest (tm) so that makes it worthwhile.
From the CAN: "Sour Ale brewed with Organic Cranberries and with Organic Cranberry flavor added".
I Crack!ed open the vent & went with a quick C-Line Glug to get things started. This produced a very brief finger or so of fizzy, foamy, soapy, reddish-white head with very minimal retention, quickly fading to wisps. Color was a Pinkish-Amber (SRM = N/A) with NE-quality clarity. Nose had a sweetish, almost perfume-y quality, more like raspberry than cranberry. Hmm. Mouthfeel was thin & watery. The taste was quite muted, more tart than sour & only vaguely identifiable as cranberry. This one needed work, for sure! Finish was semi-dry, lightly tart, but overall disappointing.

A: Pours a pinkish red color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap
S: Tart cranberries up front along with some bready malt
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the cranberries and a light tartness followed by bready malt that helps to balance things out. Finishes with lingering cranberry and bready sweetness
M: Light-medium bodied with moderate-high carbonation
O: A nice and refreshing cranberry sour that is quite drinkable

P: Pours a transparent redish/pink color with a very thin white head that dissipates quickly.
S: All I smell is raspberries
T: Taste is cranberries upfront however, there is no sour taste what so ever
F: Like drinking a raspberry fruit beer with a high carbonation and no sour taste
O: Taste is great but, I wouldn't classify this as a sour beer.
