This is a light hop juice with high carbonation and a slim malt bill. This is fine and agreeable enough in that it fits the profile but the flavor is on low power.

Can purchased at Fattey Beer Company in Rochester, NY.
This pours a dull straw yellow color, hazy, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like grapefruit and melon mostly, with some grassy and spicy hops to it.
This is definitely more bitter than a New England IPA would typically be, but I don’t mind that all. It’s got a resinous and spicy bitterness to it, with a nice citrusy hop bite to it – melon, grapefruit, lemon, and lime, to my palate.
This is light bodied, slightly watery, but really crisp, clean, and drinkable.
This manages to punch way above its weight class, so to speak – a low calorie hazy IPA doesn’t exactly whet the appetite always.

Pours very pale….like off white. Smell is citrus and pine and is fairly strong for a light. Taste follows with a lot of flavor. Some grapefruity tartness on the back end but goes down pretty easy. A winner from Peak.

Picture a quality hazy IPA in a special lightweight version - low cal & low ABV, but still great taste. What a unique creation! This actually could be my ultimate Lawnmower Beer.

12oz can purchased from the fridge as a six-pack for $11.99. Best By 1/13/2022...I may have purchased this close to two months ago. It still seems fresh enough.
Look: Quite hazy and quite pale. Has this kind of white grapefruit juice or pineapple juice look to it. There was a head upon the pour but it receded to nothing.
Smell: Has a nice mixture of huge grapefruit juice aroma, perfumy notes, and garlic. Sounds like a weird combination, but it's very pleasant. I also get like a cherry note in there, which is kind of cool. Some green bell pepper on the back end.
Taste: It's a bit fizzy, but overall the flavors are strong and do a very good job considering that this is a low-cal (95), low-carb (3g) beer. The flavors are mainly grapefruit juice and peel, lemony notes, some cherry, and a grassy/pithy moderately bitter finish. The beer is refreshing and flavorful. I like it. Also, it really does taste like an IPA and I don't get the sense that they are sacrificing something to bring the ABV, calories, and carbs down.
Feel: Light and crushable. A very nice low ABV option that doesn't skimp on flavor.
Overall: It's not super remarkable, but I certainly appreciate this offering. I have liked just about everything that I have had from Peak Organic and this is no exception. It's really solid. One of my new go-to low ABV hoppy beers!
From the website:
We live to create flavorful, hop-drenched, hazy IPAs that showcase the quality of ingredients from our organic farmers. For years, we’ve been searching for ways to showcase an abundance of hop flavor into a beer that is under 95 calories and less than 3 carbs. After years of hard work and research, we finally formed Slim Hazy. A 4.1%, hop-forward overflowing with organic Calypso, Citra and Simcoe hops. All the hop grandeur and haze that you expect from a world-class IPA, but with a low-calorie profile, so you can crush your life goals. Enjoy!

From a 12 fl. oz. can with a best by date of 2/5/21. Sampled Aug 14, 2020.
Cloudy looking pale yellow appearance with a quick lasting quick fizzy head. No lacing.
The aroma is actually fairly enticing with a notable citrus, pineapple, tropical fruit hop character and a less obvious cereal graininess.
Light, thin, effervescent body. But it is probably to be expected for the low-cal style.
The flavor is sweet at first but then tropical zestiness kicks in and brightens it up at the end. The kind of beer you would drink on a summer day when you are also on a diet and you wouldn't be offended by it.

I really enjoyed this beer. It’s light, but full bodied and hazy with lots of flavor. Great for the summer. Cheers.
