A friend of mine got a hold of this and raved about it. I was able to find it in short order. As a chocolate fan, I am really excited. Wow, a TON of vanilla aroma in the nose. Good use of Oak aging here. In the beginning, a rush of coffee flavor hits my palate. Absolutely amazing. Then, a flavor of dark chocolate and more vanilla round out the finish. So good. I may have to try this with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

A 12 oz. pour in a highball glass at Meadhall 5/3/11. Dark. If there were more light then, maybe, I'd be able to see through this one. Filmy head and no lace. Unusual aroma and flavor. Coffee and bourbon aroma with grape characteristics. Flavor has dried fruit (prunes, perhaps) and grapes, with some alcohol in the middle. Coffee grounds. Lightly bitter back with a hint of smoke and ash.
