Poured on-tap at the Shipyard in Eliot, ME. The beer was served in a schooner, and it poured a dark copper-gold color, with no head. The aroma was highlighted with citrus notes over a sugary malt backbone, and some light hopping. The flavors were smokey and light malt, with a blast of bitter, dry hops. Very peppery, and the spicing keeps it crisp. The beer is mid-bodied, but smooth and light. The aftertaste is peppery and bitter from the hops, with a puckering and drying finish. Very tasty.
