A:
Pours a hazy yellow with ample white head that ends up a patchy film. Good retention; confetti lacing. (3.75)
S:
Light doughy funk. White bread crust, somewhat floral. (3.5)
T:
Dry and vaguely tart. Follows the flavor with some black pepper and faint citrus notes. (3.75)
M:
Light, dry body with active, fluffy carbonation and a crisp finish despite a little flabbiness. (3.75)
O:
Decent Saison with a fruit I've never heard of.
It is pretty much a textbook Saison and they do usually brew them well. It looks nice, good head. It's kind of hollow in the smell department, but the citrus comes through a little more in the flavor.
Nice and dry but a little flabbier-feeling/pizza-doughy than I like (the spelt?). Overall though a decent beer and at the bare minimum an opportunity to learn of the existence of Buddha's Hands. They look tough to peel... (3.75)
