slightly acidic cranberry taste, oaking took some of the edge off what could have been.So was maple syrup, something I am tired of. Strong carbonation. Not so drinkable.Pinkish hues. Drying finish. A little pungent. A hint of aroma of cranberry. Nothing exceptional.

Hazy pinkish colour, nice white head, very nice for cask, some lace left as well. Smell is oak and vanilla with a good amount of berry present, fruity and lively, cranberry more aparent when this was a bit warmer. Taste is initially tart cranberry, light sourness, dry finish, some oak and vanilla but the tart berry notes are at the front, tart in finish. Light to med carb, medium body, good feel. This was quite nice, not the best of the day but effective and enjoyable.

On cask at Volo's Cask Days 2011, listed at 20 IBUs.

Poured a milky orange-salmon (?), with a dense offwhite head. Great retention and even some solid lacing. Cranberry is at the forefront of the nose, some oak and light vanilla notes tail behind. Some modest sourness and a touch of phenol, yet still bright berry notes throughout. Taste has some tart cranberries initially, which opens up into some light sweetness and vanilla notes. Oak-ing not as present as the nose. Lactic sourness. Tart mouthfeel and a pretty big and dry pucker in the finish. Quite a nice cranberry ale with good barrel treatment; this surprised me a bit as I'm not a fan of cranberries (at all). Not mindblowing but still nice overall.
