I was poured a pint from the tap at Kimo's Sports Bar in Richland, Washington. The menu asserted that this was a "pale yellow, full bodied with calories of a macro light." It had a ABV of 3.1%, the bars lowest ABV brew.

A: It poured a light clear yellow body with a one finger bode white head composed of small dense bubbles. The head fell fast leaving light almost non-existent lacing. It looks alot like a Sam Adams Light.

S: It was hard to cox any aromas from this brew but after aggressively slurping I was able to detect very light sweet malts and hints of white spices.

T: It initially presented very faint hints of honey and malts complemented by white fruits (pears) and very light spices (pepper). It had a bit of a tart backside but finished clean and dry. Not bad for a light beer.

M: It was light-bodied, very thin, and dry. It had little aftertaste and moderate well balanced carbonation.

Rattlesnake describes Snake Light as a light ale with “about the same number of calories as Macro Lights.” I’m never too eager to run out and grab a pint portrayed as such, but I’ll give it a fair shake. Snake Light is lager yellow in the faintest of clear shades of straw. But this is an ale and has characteristic ale yeast residues that contrast it against the world of macro light lagers.

But it is light. Indeed, the flavor and body are but gentle trespasses upon what is otherwise a glass of water. However, since this is the beer’s intent, I won’t judge it harshly. I wouldn’t exactly rush back for another, but for what it is, it is reasonably satisfying. Yeast elements show strongest in the aroma and taste, which isn’t too surprising as a beer of this design can’t showcase formidable malts. Bitterness seals the flavor with the finality of a closing door while yeast residues fill out the aftertaste, which is thankfully clean in ways it might potentially not be.

Fairly accommodating for a light beer, but it looked naked without foam or lace.
