2025 Take

Pours a hazy straw/gold with a thumb+ of pearl colored head. Great head retention & better lacing

S: Grassy, some citrus, nose isn't quite there, but does pick up as this warms

T: Follows the nose, dryness, some melon notes, pomelo & grapefruit up front. Dryness, pomelo, white grape must & melon notes & pine as this warms up. Finishes really dry with melons, pine & pomelo

MF: Medium body, dialed back carbonation, a little grittyness

Good drinkability, hops are popping but not quite hitting greatness. Too much dryness for sure

16oz can served in a big snifter. Dated 10/05/22. This year, the label has three Ws on it. K'POWWW.

Pours a slightly hazy light amber color with a smallish head. Smell is mostly citrus and pine with a little bit of a melon or bubblegum in the background.

Taste is again mostly citrus, with a little bit of pine. Resinous bitter finish. Sweetness in there, too, a little honey and flowers.

Mouthfeel is medium to light, maybe slightly gritty. Overall, it's a pretty good beer.

This year the label has three Ws on it, not just two. I'm assuming it's the same beer. Aroma seems more dank than I described last year. Taste is also very dank. Don't get any grittiness this year. Still pretty good.

Three Ws again. Don't see a date. It's really good this year. Bumping up scores accordingly.

This is the 2021 edition and ABV is clocked at 8 percent. But as a collaboration with Skookum and the malt bill, you know it's gotta be hazy. So sweet and sugary. Aroma of citrus and apricot nectar. Tastes of fruit cocktail with an aspirin or two, peach schnapps (or is it Sloe Gin), and chewing on the grapefruit peel.

Overall this is sweet, hot, bitter, and harsh. The brewers should be whipped and then given a Wander Googly Eyes to remind them there is still good in the brewing world. From the 16 oz can, undated, apparently purchased at the Community Coop.

never even really heard of these guys before this one, but such an impressive offering, oddly delicate for its strength, and the hop profile is fantastic, a really delicious wet hop beer, this has been one of the best wet hop seasons yet i reckon, more and more breweries getting these to market, more hop diversity, more ambition, more process innovation, its been a joy to be a beer drinker. this one has a little haze to it, an average white head from the tap, and an aroma of crushed pineapple, fresh pine needles, and heady weed, intense on the nose but in good balance in the taste, seems simcoe forward to me, but its complex too, fruity, peppy fresh citrus, good malt balance without being toasted or rich. the flavor is pine first, resinous weed character next, fruit last, mosaic vibes with the obvious pineapple character, and there is a cool oiliness to the texture, seems like they used an absolute ton of hops in here. i like it having some bitterness to it, not enough of these do, and perhaps most surprisingly, it drinks super light for its listed 8% abv, which is what the menu said where i had it, higher than is posted here, im sure some annual variation on that. this has some body, oats or wheat likely in here, but its soft, airy, and dry, only the hops linger on the swallow, and the ferment is nice and clean. overall this is great stuff, distinct among the wet hop stuff, dangerous and pungent, really well done. i will have to track down more beers from these guys, i love this.
