Attractive amber-brown brew with a long-lasting pile of foam in the stout glass. Aroma of roasted grain with a buttery note. Just slightly sweet with a thin body. Some graham crackers and blackberry seeds.
Woody rather than barrel tasting, except for a dubious sourish note. There's a hint of dishwater in the finish. Flat bitter aftertaste. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham.

Low abc for a BA scotch ale. Not much malt character, no smoke and no real notes hat it was Barrel aged.
