Pours a clear golden with plenty of foam in the Blanche de Chambly goblet. Pleasantly spritzy on the tongue. Mellow sweet bread taste to start. Herbal hoppy taste sticks in your throat. Aroma of straw and resins.
Not exactly a Kölsch, but if you think of a Blonde Ale tha's gotten hopped up, that's close enough. Very quaffable with a refreshing watery finish. A slight burn of astringency in the aftertaste. Less clean that the German version, in my limited experience. From the 12 oz can purchased at the Co-op market in Mount Vernonl.

Served in 16oz shaker. Poured a lightly cloudy straw yellow color with a thin cap of white head that had low retention and lacing. The aroma had a low grain base, and soft floral hops. Same on the tongue, very subdued examples of the expected features. The body was fairly typical for the style, light and smooth. Drinkability was OK, but I wasn't left wanting another. Overall, and average, at best, example of the style.
