Well-balanced example of a classic American style Amber Ale, a beer we have been brewing since 1996. Pacific Northwest hops balance the malty caramel flavor with a nice herbal hop finish.

Alas, the floaties mar the handsome coppery amber brew. Plenty of foam in the Stella goblet and a lively mouthfeel with malty substance. Aroma of roasted grain and wheat cereal and greenery in the nose. Bready taste with some malty sweetness. Flavors of caramel and a tangy flowery finish. The description on the can is actually hard to improve on. This is a better than average Amber Ale and another excellent brew in the refreshed lineup from Scuttlebutt. Great can art of the aforementioned sea legs. Date stamp not legible.

I love how smooth this is. This is will be this summers “go to” for an afternoon. I almost want to say there is a slight butterscotch there because of the yeast. It’s a beautiful dark amber color and it has no bitterness to speak of at all. Damn good beer and I normally like stronger flavors.

Pours a reddish amber color with a whitish/tan medium head. Aroma is roasted malt and sweetness and no noticeable hops, only 24 IBUs. I love this style of beer, a true red/amber without being overly hoppy like a NW Red. BOD1-29-2026.
