Sampled at the AOBF 5/24/03.
Pretty-looking cloudy golden color. Thin and sticky tan-colored head. Aromas of soft, citrusy hops dominate. Scents of pine cones also noted, along with a whiff of "medicinal" alcohol. Definite citrusy-piney flavors, with a lovely apple flavor mixed in. Yummy! Flavor is very mellow. Nothing too aggressive here. Mouthfeel is spectacular, very smooth and creamy. I could drink pint after pint of this beer. I sampled my first of several cask-conditioned beers this weekend and it is such a wonderful new style of beer. I must try others.
CBC hits another homer with this one.
