Enjoyed at the barley wine festival. Reviewed from notes.
A - Poured into a snifter a murky muddy brown hue with no real head or wisps.
S - Aromas of big tannins and oak, nice honey, light stone fruit, light grapes. The tannins over power the nose though.
T - Taste is rather sweet, nice grape notes, light fruit. the tannins really overpower all of the other characteristics.
M - Mouthfeel is very thin, no real carbonation, quite boozy.
O - Overall this was really underwhelming. The tannins completely overpowered the grape and other vinous notes. Quite unfortunate.
