Added this one as a "Kellerbier" because it is an unfiltered lager made with the addition of darker malts. The ABV also lands within the commonly accepted range for Kellerbier.

Appearance: Pours a hazy brown with a toasty, foamy head that leaves some marvelous lacing down the edge of the glass. The haze makes the beer look somewhat sickly due to its dark coloring though. I would have liked to see this a bit more golden or a bit more amber rather than just plain old brown.

Smell: Soft, sweet notes like a toasted marshmellow, but overlaid on a nice graininess with a pinch of herbal noble hop characteristics.

Taste: Really pleased with how this one came together- there is that nice, substantial breadiness that serves as the malt base but with just a slight toasted note. It's really just 'toasted'- not roasted, not burned, etc.- it literally just seems like a piece of toasted wheat bread. Awesome! Pair this with a soft assertion of noble hops which add that characteristic zesty spice and layer on the standard German lager dry finish, and you have one great craft lager here. Finishes semi-dry, constantly inviting another sip.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied, but not heavy. Quaffable without feeling overly bubbly.

Overall: A superbly drinkable beer, and one I'd definitely recommend for fellow lagerheads. The toasted malt works great with this one, and really helps emphasize the German expression "flüssiges Brot" as another name for beer.
