Serving: On tap at the Cambridge brew pub in a sampler glass
Served: 15 Apr 2016
Appearance: Pretty standard APA color- golden yellow with hints of burnt orange around the edge of the glass. Little head, but again, it's a sampler glass, what can you do?
Smell: Plenty of hop aroma here, with clean citric and pine notes and a little pinch of tropical fruit. A touch of dankness.
Taste: Clean hop flavors essentially the same as the nose overlaid on a soft, somewhat bready malt backbone. I liked that the malts didn't ratchet up the sweetness too much. Finishes semi-sweet, I would say. I would have liked a bit of a drier finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium body with high carbonation.
Overall: A good APA from CBC to be sure, but one that doesn't stand out in a crowd.

On-tap 5/5/2017 at Pizza J’s in Providence, RI, served in a tulip glass.
A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains fruity citrus, floral hops and light caramelized malts.
T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of tangerine and other citrus fruits. Then a strong but not over-powering hops bitterness comes in. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings a very good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while.

As named - Hoppy spring ale. On tap at the Cambridge brew pub in a sampler glass
A) Ton of lace at the top of the glass as the slightly hazed body drops without much foam left.
S) First up - hop aroma, with citrus, flowers, pine and tropical fruit. Plenty of dankness.
T) Loved it. Flowershop spring as promised, on a malt sweet back drop that is balanced with right amount of peppery and dank hops and island fruit flavors.
F) Clean, fresh with plenty of white pepper and cleansing in the finish. Try 12.

Yellow-orange gold color. Cloudy. Good starting head but it settles quickly to rim bubbles. A couple of broken rings of lace.
Beautiful floral hop aroma. A bit of evergreen to the nose but more like freshly crushed hop cones.
Clean, fresh malt and hop blend. Not overwhelming on the bitter side but it is the most dominant flavor. I get a bit of bitter citrus in the swallow. The aftertaste is moderate but lasting in a soft perfume with light white pepper. Appropriate body and carbonation.
