When choosing a category for this beer I was curious which element would shine the most: the rye, pumpkin or IPA. I think the rye wins with the pumpkin coming in a distant third.
The appearance is of a deep amber color with a very light haze. Modest head but it leaves decent streaks.
The smell is mild but features the hop -- prickly pine aroma.
A dry beer as one might expect. Good hops in the swallow. Pumpkin? I wouldn't have noticed except for the name. The body is neutral and the carbonation low. This creates a chewy effect. The aftertaste lasts like an IPA with plenty of hops.
