Tasted at the CBC, the bartender struggled to categorized this beer. He debated between a Belgian Gueuze and a Berliner Weissbier. After tasting it I do think it's closer to Berliner Weissbier even though it is nearly clear. Straw color. Moderate head leaving minimal small spots on the glass.
The smell is mild with a light lavender soapiness to it. Lightly sweet and lightly sour to the nose.
There's a nice combination of tartness and hop bitterness on the tongue. It's both intriguing and tasty. I think the sourness is slightly more pronounced than any other flavor. Good body with a low carbonation level. Overall, this is a worthwhile beer to try while available because it's so rare to find a truly new tasting beer.
