Moderate, but quickly dying head. The color is muddy brown where light passes through the edge easily. No lacing on the glass whatsoever.
Deep rich, semisweet chocolate aroma with a strong presence of cinnamon and vanilla. There's also a modicum of latte in the mix. Intriguing, complex, and attractive.
More coffee (which I have a sensitivity) to the tongue than the smell lets on. High carbonation with a neutral body. For my palate, it obscures the "cinnamon, vanilla, chiles, mushrooms...." suggested by the Lord Hobo menu. This beer is very close to a cold, carbonated mocha tastewise. Strong bitter hop finish. The aftertaste is a combination of coffee, semisweet chocolate, and bittering hop.
