Served in a tulip glass.
A: It poured a bright golden color with a tall sticky head that receded fast to a right around the collar. Here were thick clumps of lacing that fell slowly back into the beer.
S: It had a distinct lightly toasted sweet malt aroma with floral and spicy accents, as well as pears and ripe apples.
T: It had a nice sweet malty front with fruity Belgium yeast that tended more toward white fruits (including pears and apples). There were hints of spices but less in the taste than expected from the aromas.
M: It was medium bodied with good levels of carbonation, a sweet front and a spicy, dry, and clean finish.
D: It was a nice tripel that stands well in its style. An easy candidate for a session brew. Seemed slightly off balance but overall a joy to drink.

Served in a tulip at the brewpub, Petit Mort is a hazy burnt gold with a small, tight white head.
Smell is spicy, malty, boozy, and yeasty, with banana esters.
Taste is heavy on the fusels, which are distracting. Otherwise, it's pretty much a classic trippel, semi-sweet with a nice spice, on the simple side.
Mouthfeel is thicker and oily, with a very dry, alcohol finish.
Drinkability is lower, it's just too boozy to enjoy, especially for the size, maybe their fermentation temps ran away from them?

Found on tap at Deep Ellum in Allston.
I will always glady jump at the opportunity to try anything from the Cambridge Brewing Company.
Served in a tulip glass this beer poured a brilliant golden color, with a nice lace of bubbles that quickly reduced to a ring clinging around the glass.
Aroma is flowery and spicy with some earthy notes.
Complex mlat taste with the likelyhood of a simple grain bill. Biscuity, slighlty grainy, with some sweetness to it.
Light to medium body with a very clean dry finish.
Higlhly quaffable tripel, deceptive taste with big abv.
