Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. Both the regular and imperial are listed at 6.3%, this has an IBU of 25 and smokey taste galore. Smokey colour, dark brown, reminds me of a malt whiskey a little lace. The aroma, smoke. Collaberation with Norrebro, who I have had a few great beers from.

Enjoyed this on tap @ CBC a couple of times before paying closer attention. Into a Pilsener glass.
Rich, formidable bourbon-colored clear body with solid single-finger butter toffee head. Retention is solid.
Solid smoky texture with pork/bacon saltiness - excellent munich/amber malt (OK, smoked Pilsener malt according to the description - my bad...it's still very European)
Great slate, smoke and charcoal with a slightly sweet malt profile. In taste the smokiness is more like the char of ribs finished over open flame than bacon.
Some smoked lagers get metallic - not this one - straight char, malt and salt does the trick here. Maybe a touch of hop pine but nothing obtrusive.
Exceedingly drinkable for a style that can be tough to power down at times. Very well-crafted - between the freshness and innovation of CBC and the sheer precision of Scandinavian brewing techniques, it's a clear victory. Well-constructed.

A) Brown with copper tones in color. Thin whispy quick settling head. Fairly transparent.
S) Campfire smoke aroma, of which is quite robust. Some malty hints.
T) Sweet, earthy caramel notes up front. Then moves to a smoked almond in the finish and aftertaste.
M) Medium bodied. Smooth. A bit of chalky dryness. There's a slightly "just toked on a pipe" feel.
D) Acquired taste needed. Nice off the beaten path brew.
