Rich deep dull dark red color. Nice foamy tan head. Rich smells of sweet carmel, and roasted malt. Taste had a pleasant striking earthiness to it. Lots of sweet carmel notes, then a pleasant hop bite. Earthy taste lingers. Medium to full bodied. A cool weather beer for me. Match this with a nice plate of bangers and mash, and you have a full belly-rubbing, good time.

Sampled this on cask as part of the Cambridge Tuesday Night Cask Series... Great looking bier! Lovely amber color, with a big, whipped, frothy head. The head does fade, and leaves a thin layer of foam, and nice lacing down the glass. Bold hoppy nose; comes right at ya, along with subtle malt hints! Body perhaps could have used more fullness (more pumping up, Hans?) but it was still fairly smooth down the hatch. Tasted big-time fruity notes along with a good hop presence. Some oaky notes contributed from the cask, too! A pleasant bier to quaff in the company of good BA friends!

Creamy light tan head over a deep brownish amber hued brew that hold a faint haze. Good retention of the head.
Mild caramel and toasted malt in the aroma, a clean and pleasant nose.
Malty palate of toasted grain, hints of chocolate and caramel. Lush medium body with a slight nitro feel to it. Twang of earthy hop and some nutty yeast ride through. The bitterness is light but balances, the flavour linger long though.
A good stab at the Irish Red style and a well received change up in the rotation of seasonals as well.
