Tap at the brew pub.

Nice creamy 1/2 finger head fades at a med pace with nice lacing, crystal clear golden pale colored.

Nose has light grassy hops, floral and a bit spicy, light golden Belgian malts, hint of Belgian esters.

Taste golden malts, light fruity Belgian esters, juicy toasty pale malt. Then hops, bright grassy floral and little spicy hops, nice spicy chewy fair bitterness. Finish is bitter grassy hops, dry.

Mouth is med to lighter bodied, crisp, nice carb.

Overall quite nice. Hops get a little more bitter than I expected, but a nice character of hops overall, they let the Belgian characters come through while presenting a nice strong flavor itself.

Poured from the tap into a tasting glass.

The color is a clear gold with a nice foamy white head and some thin lacing on the glass.

The smell is hoppy and is bitter for a moment before a tart flavor as well. There is some interesting fruits in the nose with a slight banana flavor.

The taste is spicey with some biscuit and bitter hop flavor. Some grain flavor comes out for a moment leading into earthy bitter flavor. Some slight sweet malt flavor as well.

The feel of this beer is light to medium and goes down quite well. It has a nice crisp feel and is pretty drinkable.

@ Lord Hobo for their $5 draft week--what a great idea.

Clear, deep horizon orange with a thin off-white head. Not much for retention but an impressive lacey net.

Aroma is spicy, dry Belgian phenols and sun-dried rust ammidst a burnt candy corn sweetness. Taste is dry and spicy intially but that quickly drops off and is replaced by apricot and golden pear sweetness.

The focus of this beer seems to be the interplay between the dry spice and the sweet sugar. I like that. 3 rings evolved as it warms: sweet increases as the spice fades. Nice.

Had on draft at CBC on May 10, 2010.

Cloudy golden pour. Thin white head, no lacing.

Subtle smells, nothing comes through too much, just a faint hoppiness.

Very crisp taste up front, hoppy but not overwhelming. Good mix of citrus and earthiness. Lots of carbonation.

Refreshing beer, good for the summertime.

Served in a tulip glass. Consumed 5/7/10 during the 21st anniversary weekend.
A) Poured nearly to the top - excellent. Thin head. Hazy bronze body. Lacing nearly non-existent.
S) Applesauce. Slight banana. Hints of caramel malts but not overt. Some pungency.
T) Earthy sweet (subtle orange and caramel) upfront with a grainy POW! Sweetness settles leaving a sour lemon / hop bite. Half way through the palate gets use to the tart lemon and mellows allowing the malts to come through.
M) Medium body. Tart dryness. Fizzy. Slick tannin feel on the tongue.
D) A well crafted Belgian pale ale. I'd definitely drink another one.

Served in a proper Tulip glass

A bright golden color, vailed lacing with a subtle all-white head, dissipation is moderate with plenty of gentle foam left-over.

Very earthy nose with some sour hoppy notes, wild red barries comes to mind with a slight tart and tangy scent. lightly sweet malt rounds it out.

The first thing I noticed was it's crisp, dry bite and feel. Very light and dry, earthy notes with a gentle yeast ans subtle complexities. The slightly fruity hops and earthy yeast with a light gentle and sweet maltm makes this one endlessly drinkable without ever becoming a bore.

No problem at all with this style!
