Took JohnnyP's advice when I arrived at the gathering and had one. Then took my own advice an hour or so later and had another. Would have tried to abscond with the cask if it would have fit in my knapsack. It was THAT good.

Deep copper in color, with a thin head that left lace down the glass. A nicely fruity, tea-like, raw hoppy aroma that really caught my attention. The taste... ahh! Full of tea-like, spicy Liberty hop character, with a (to me) perfect amount of round malt to balance it. The finish continued the spicy, tea-like character, with hints of sweet malt & chocolate(?) balancing off the smooth bitterness. Hugely drinkable.

I'd say that this one ranks in the top five cask brews I've tried. If you are in or near Cambridge and they have a cask on, run (don't walk) to the T and get yasself a pint. What a way to kick off an evening - many thanks to brewmaster Will for cracking this one open.

This is perhaps one of the best beers Will (brewer) has done to date, as for cask he is definitely getting into his prime and is not looking back. Top scores for drinkability as ever time a pint was put in front of me I drank it so fast that I forgot that they had just given me one. Clean fruity aroma and flavour, touch of yeast with in the mellow malt sweetness and trace toasted notes. Big iced tea-like hop flavour that was spot on for English style cask ale. This cask was hopped with the Liberty variety.

This is about as true to a "real ale" as you're going to get. A spot on bitter, hopped with a single hop, Liberty ... and also dry-hopped in the firkin.

Poured a bright copper beer with a creamy lace.

Aroma was insanely floral with an herbal spice edge.

The medly of sweet malts and floral/herbal hops creates an iced tea flavour with a touch of lemon grass. Ultra-smooth on the palate, body is light, and it goes down just as easy as an iced tea.

Thanks to Will for tapping this special beer for our special BA gathering!
