Reviewed from notes. Poured from a growler at the forum during the Night of the Funk. The beer itself is a crimson brown with an off white head and some very slight lacing as it goes down. The nose reminds me of an older, slightly-oxidized barleywine that has had a portion of light kriek added to it and then was soured. There's a bit of sherry notes in there as well, though these are more in the nose. The flavor brings more cherry and lactic sourness. Medium body with a good puckering quality. Overall, really nice and enjoyable.

64oz Growler at NotF poured into a sampling glass. Reviewed from notes.

Pours a hazy dark brown with a really small, almost non-existent, light white head. Nose is sweet, boozy, and funky.

Taste is very sharp and tart, quite malty and rich almost like a funky barleywine. Quite unique and tart, its got a very light tart and sweet finish. I like it a lot, super unique.

Had this at Night of Funk, November 5, 2010.

Poured from a Cambridge Brewing growler into a tasting glass.

The color is a deep brown with a slight finger of foamy head and no lacing on the glass.

The smell is bretty with a dark malt flavor. So sweet toffee flavor is present in the nose.

The taste seems to go off in several directions. At first a funky brett flavor comes in then leads into a hoppiness that is a slight citrus flavor. Things change quickly into some malty flavor and them come back to a sour fruit flavor and completely go back again in some of the others. It feels like a roller coaster of flavors and is a really impressive flavor profile.

The feel of this beer is pretty big since it runs the gambit of different flavors but is goes down quite well. This beer is gone before you know it and leaves you looking for more. A really amazing experience.

CBC brought this beer to Night of Funk with a few growlers for the special beers at the speaker panel. It was a very experimental beer.

Darker murky tan brown color with a very light head.

Nose has light darker malts little dry. Some bready and dry funk light fruits and oak little vinegar and vanilla.

Taste is sour with light oak and vanilla lots of vinegar and some malts. Little weird paint thinner like flavor too. Weird. Sticky flemmy finish little tangy fruit light cherry sour.

Mouth is sticky and medium bodied with lower but decent carbonation for a growler.

Drinkability is pretty low, with lots of vinegar and acetyl acid, and lots of weird flavors, including a paint thinner like flavor that was very bleh.
