Served on tap at CBC. This beer is described as a New Zealand Pilsner. According to the server it features NZ and Australian hops.
Served a hazy, neutral gold. Moderate head but the film lasts throughout the tasting. Wide streaks for lace.
This is a hop forward beer more reminiscent of an American pale ale. The nose is bitter and not at all flowery. Low malt.
The taste is like the smell—low pale malt with a stronger, bitter hop bite. Thicker than most Pilsners but the carbonation holds up. Some fruitiness in the swallow but it soon subsumed by the black pepper hop. Moderate aftertaste.
