Amber and clear. Served without any head and the tiny rim bubbles provide no lacing.
The smell is sweet like tutti-frutti. There’s some lightly toasted malt in the background. The aroma is not like punch but closer to Juicyfruit gum and Gummi Bears.
The beginning flavor is mild, mostly malt. The finish explodes with a Gummi Candy sweetness. It’s attractive and unusual. Rich bodied as expected with an appropriately low carbonation level. The finish isn’t entirely cloy, there’s a modicum of hop. The aftertaste is lingering sweetness. Throughout the tasting I detect no alcohol despite the 13% abv.
