It boggles my mind to think they had a pumpkin beer festival here shortly before my visit. If I’m not mistaken this was one of the last from that lineup to remain on tap.
The Valley Ghoul looks a dark amber with some thin lacking. Smells of roasted pumpkin and molasses. There’s a sprinkling of cinnamon that comes through while you taste it, along with the pumpkin and molasses sweetness. A bit of a boozy kick that is apparent—and a little too strong for what I wanted—but also warms nicely. It’s strong with an enjoyable finish, great for the rainy day.
